AutoGo is a marketplace that connects customers with independent, verified CarHosts and drivers across Kenya. Trust is the whole product — here is how we build it into every trip.
Every CarHost, driver and vehicle goes through a document review by the AutoGo team before it can be booked. Customers also verify their identity before their first trip.
Payments are made through M-Pesa or card and held securely until the trip is underway. CarHosts and drivers are paid out after the trip completes, and refunds are always reviewed by the AutoGo team — never automatic.
Every trip starts and ends with a photo inspection checklist and a one-time code confirmed in the app, so the condition of the vehicle is agreed by both sides.
Customers, CarHosts and drivers rate each other after every trip. Consistently poor ratings lead to suspension or removal from the marketplace.
Vehicles listed on AutoGo must carry valid insurance and inspection documents, which are checked during onboarding and re-checked before they expire.
Real people review verifications, disputes, refund requests and safety reports. If something goes wrong on a trip, the AutoGo team steps in.
If you feel unsafe on a trip, end it and contact us straight away. You can report a vehicle, a CarHost, a driver or a video from its page, or reach the team through the Help Centre or our contact page. Safety reports are always handled by a person, never automated.
